American Village Builders was looking to shake up their industry and take some initiatives to bring attention to their company through the web. YDEK shaped and molded AVB's business-to-business brand to better cater for their clients and provoke a lot of interest by showcasing the beauty in the quality of their work through many many pictures. The site is also deployed using the first version of our PHP framework, and a 100% custom content management system that is marked as one of our showcase pieces.

After the success of AVB's business-to-business site, they wanted to let us take control over the residential face of their company. AVB focuses on the details of their homes and the environments of their communities, so we really focused on bringing these elements into an immersive experience that tells a story of purchasing your home through the web. AVB Homes has been featured on the CSS Awards and won a Site of the Day award. Since the launch of their new site, home and condominium sales have more than quadrupled the previous year's.

RDA International came to us looking for the best. We developed for them a flashy interface with nothing but pure Javascript and a lot of love. The site is fully deep linkable and scalable for anything they need. This was also our first chance to really dive into HTML5.

RDA International subcontracted us out to help transition their Rockefeller Center account away from them and into our hands. During this process, we built up and configured several Rackspace Cloud servers from scratch and monitor/maintain daily as well as keep up with continuous updates and new features on their current site.

TOR is another Rockefeller Center project that came along with their transition into our hands. The servers for TOR were built up on the same Rackspace Cloud, configured, and tuned to be able to handle roughly 20,000 hits per day. All while fixing bugs and helping expand their current site with new features.

KoldCast.TV

The Premiere Web TV Network

Project Scope

There's absolutely no way to summarize what's going on with KoldCast, but it's nothing short of incredible. We've essentially built an entire video management network from scratch using Python and Django as the foundation. Every aspect imaginable with the site is able to be configured and monitored through their system. On top of that, we manage their server infrastructure, scalability, and day-to-day server maintenance. KoldCast is running on a mix of Debian, with Apache, Nginx, Amazon S3, and Amazon Cloudfront.

To be honest, after this project, we were sick of looking at swirls, but fortunately, the project turned out awesome in the end. This site was developed for Curve Communications out of Long Beach to showcase what their ad agency is all about. They've spent the time and effort into a new face and brand for themselves, and we stepped in to help with the execution. Entirely driven by a beautifully designed content management system with some features that have to be seen to fully comprehend. Every detail is manageable, down to the rotation of elements on the swirl.

City Notebook Japan

Project Scope

Working with an ad agency in Japan, we were able to develop this unique experience for the new line of City Notebooks for Tokyo and Kyoto. A completely unique and custom path/footstep engine was written to allow quicker design and animation tweaks during the "crunch time" of the project. The entire site is XML driven and all of the text is driven by pngs to ease the production time and translation issues.

Infinium Spirits is an interesting project that was handed off by Brand Up for YDEK to develop. It consists of an interesting blend of Javascript, Flash, PHP, and XML. The entire site was built with expansion in mind. Each component of the site is able to stand alone and new pages are able to be designed and built within days using a custom Flash framework written with this in mind.

Website developed and deployed inside of Motorola's network. The challenge came from working within their standards and inside their page templates as well as translations to dozens of languages without the ability to use any server side scripting.

Web based application deployed on all of Motorola's Evoke phones, along with a phone simulator to show off the app in real proportions. The application itself is a Frankenstein of Javascript ripped from the original iui Javascript library and almost rewritten from scratch for this specific device.

Project Scope

Motorola generates lots of leads. The also generate lots of forms for their leads. This little step-by-step web application was developed to ease that process. A Motorola employee is able to walk through this process, preview their creation, and download a zip file of every file needed to deploy it and start generating leads.

From a management perspective, we've supplied their IT department will almost 100% control on every bit of content on their site through one massive and elaborate XML configuration file.
